A2: Proficy Machine Edition, Logic Developer – PLC version 5.0 SP2 or higher is required.
Q3: Does the module support external absolute encoders?
A3: No, the DSM324 only supports incremental encoders. Absolute mode is not supported.
Q4: What happens if the servo is re-enabled after an amplifier E-Stop?
A4: The servo may jump unexpectedly. To prevent this, cycle the 24V control power on the amplifier before re-enabling.
Q5: Can I use this module with Logicmaster 90 or VersaPro?
A5: No, these programming tools are not compatible with the DSM324 module.
Q6: Is the follower function disabled by the ABORT command?
A6: No, the ABORT %Q bit does not disable the follower. You must turn off the Enable Follower %Q bit to stop follower motion.
Q7: Is it possible to jog beyond software EOT limits?
A7: Yes, under specific configurations (if limits are too close), jogging may exceed software EOT boundaries.
